Altium Designer - Creating Header #AltiumDesigner
Altium Designer Tutorial - Creating Header
hey everyone welcomes back to part two
If you haven't checked part one how to create a project in Altium designer yet make sure to check it from here
INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE HEADER IN ALTIUM DESIGNER :
1) Open Altium designer
2) Let's get started open Altium designer in that we already created the project so now we create a header for our project we are going to create our very first
a schematic symbol so go to schematic library double click on lead project down here right-click on panels
in that hit manufacture part search here why we come to manufacture part search, it's used for download all PCB components for our project
3) so we are going to adjust some settings so left-click on the nut icon which is here click preferences
this is optional to do I am in able USA country and all this type of currency also enabled come to the supplier in that click enable Digi key why we enable only Digikey Digikey corporation is an electronic components distributor and world's first and largest electronic components distributors in the world and arrow electronics is second electronics distributor third one is Avnet electronics distributor this all three distributors are leading distributors in the world
E) Selecting correct country and website
F) Electronics Distributor
4) Searching the component
Now I enable Digi and so we are going to work with a database which is from Digikey if you like you can enable also some other distributors to press ok right now we select the Deji key go to google and then copy the Digi part number
so open google then search Digi-key in that hit Digikey electronics electronic components distributors
now let's have a look at our sample that we are designing so this is the schematic diagram of the sample and this is our final schematic
And first components we are going to create is this header
which is here and we type that header 2.54 millimeter in the search box then click the search icon
here five lakes available on the Digikey website down here come to top categories in that click rectangular connectors headers mail pins after that we select some appropriate option so first go to stock options click in stock
then here media available next come down click add r cad models and click apply all then we select some option now come to the number of position select two in a number of rows select one in style select board to cable wire apply all come to mounting type this is our final result in that click 0 0 2 2 9 2 1 2 1 2.
this is our header image copy their Digi key part number of header then go back to Altium designer come to manufacture part search and set as all option then paste the header of Digikey's header part number and click enter on the keyboard
h) Selecting the connectors
i) copy the Digikey apart number
here you will a list of the components which were found add this conductor to our library so left-click on the header and select in here and there we can verify our product like how much price and more now right-click on this connector select import into the schematic library and close manufacture part search so go to schematic library open header
why it's not visible why why why the header is not visible I got the answer go to panels in that click properties go to the search box and paste the one more time Digikey part number expand the properties panel here our connector is found here our connector is not visible so click I button then pin it go back to the schematic library this is the component which we have just imported come to properties we imported this component and we also imported parameters so click on these parameters and you see
this component already includes information about the supplier part number and a lot of other information which we don't have to manually write all this was imported directly from Digikey cool and finally, we created a header in the next video is drawing header symbol
